Jay Vigon original final inking of "Purple Rain" for the album and the movie, including: rare, one-of-a-kind pencil sketches and inked-in sketches which lead up to the final inking. Within the inkings are different letters which were put together to from an alphabet for the movie and album logo. Archive includes: eight original, hand-drawn preliminary pencil sketches on tracing paper (one mounted on board); six hand drawn and inked preliminary sketches; and two final inked versions of the original typography mounted on board. Accompanied by a poster and postcard from The Art of Vinyl exhibition in which they were exhibited. The largest sketch measures 15 x 20 and the rest are smaller. Very good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
