French composer Henri Duparc (d. 1933) two-page signed, handwritten letter on 10/75 X 8.75 center-fold statonery and a signed and inscribed 8 X 11 multi – page music score for his work “Melodies” published in France. Born in Paris, Duparc was a composer of the late Romantic Period who abruptly ceased composing in 1885 at the age of 37 due to a diagnosed mental illness. At the time of his death he was totally blind and having destroyed most of his music, left fewer than 40 works to posterity. His writing and signature are extremely scarce. Very good condition.
