Tommy Bolin's handwritten working lyrics for the song "Post Toastee." The lyrics were handwritten in blue ink which is evidenced in the last four lines, but the paper had been folded at some point and the rest of the lines have faded due to exposure to the elements. The faded writing is clearly visible, but it is much lighter than the last four lines which are strong blue ink. "Post Toastee" is from Tommy's second and solo album "Private Eyes" which was produced in 1976 and was Tommy's last studio recorded album. "Post Toastee" was also the last song Tommy ever performed on stage, on December 3, 1976 in Miami, Florida, when he opened for Beck. He died hours after the show (on December 4), in a tragic overdose. Measures 8.5 x 11. In addition to the fading, the paper shows some wear with some creasing, a bit of water damage and a few tiny tears. The handwritten lyrics themselves are clearly legible and haven't been affected by the additional wear on the paper. On the back of the paper are typed lyrics titled "Feelin Dazed" with some notes written in pencil, most likely in Tommy's hand, with Tommy's name handwritten in the upper left corner in blue ink. From the personal collection of Tommy's brother Johnnie Bolin, comes with a letter of provenance and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
