Tupac Shakur hand-wrote and signed this one page love letter and one page poem/song lyrics to Simi on two pages of 8 x 10.5 lined notebook paper in blue ballpoint pen when he was incarcerated at the Clinton Correctional Facility, September 1995. Tupac and Simi had been corresponding for a few months since she has initially sent him a letter with her photo. Over the months their relationship deepened until he was quite in love with her. In this letter Tupac write to Simi to comfort her after her grandmother's death. He writes, "I have seen so many loved onez pass away and each time it's like a piece of me died 2 but as the time passes I have gained strength from their spiritz as u will, trust me. I miss u, very much and I hope your heart isn't too heavy with pain." He goes on to say that an inmate was murdered by another inmate that day , and the jail was on lockdown. He writes that it was the second murder in six months, and that death is all around him, but his faith keeps him strong. He signed the letter "Eternal '2PAC'". The second page is poem or song lyrics he titled "Through it All" and signed "4 Simi from "2PAC" Sept 22, 1995 I miss U Keep ya Head up!". The poem/song lyrics was written to comfort her, and he tells her that she can depend on him. The letter is accompanied by the original 9.5 x 4 envelope hand addressed by Tupac, with his handwritten return address and inmate number. The envelope is post dated September 26, 1995 and bears the Clinton Correctional Facility stamp as well. Very good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
