In a brutal scene from the first round of their first fight, Cassius Clay “whips a right to the head of ducking champ Sonny Liston,” in this original 14 X 11 black and white wire photograph printed with a caption from their first fight in Miami Beach on February 25, 1964. Clay would go on and win the fight when Liston quit the fight at the beginning of the seventh round. Dated photo credits and notations appear on verso. Very good condition.
