This iconic 1950's red suede jacket with black ribbed knit collar, waist and cuffs, pockets and front zipper was worn frequently by Elvis as his casual every day attire as well as for the RCA publicity photos taken at the time of his film "Jailhouse Rock." This jacket was purchased at Elvis' favorite men's clothier store, Lansky Brothers in Memphis. Photos of Elvis wearing this jacket graced the covers of two of Elvis' most famous and biggest RCA hits, "Jailhouse Rock" and "One Night." Both RCA 45 records with the picture sleeves featuring Elvis wearing this jacket and additional color photographs of Elvis wearing this jacket accompany the lot. With letter of provenance from hairdresser Homer Gilleland.
