This blue jacket with white stripes is one of the two (the other being red with white stripes) that Elvis Presley wore in his movie “Speedway.” Elvis wore this gorgeous racing inspired hand tailored gabardine jacket in the production number “Your Time Hasn’t Come Yet Baby,” singing to a little girl. Bears the MGM Studio Culver City label reading “Elvis Presley,” “Prod#1860”, “job #3” and chest size “42”. The print is faint but legible. The jacket features a blue satin lining and an interior pocket stamped “MGM” as well as a zippered, satin lined front pocket and hidden-snap gathered closure cuffs. This jacket was originally sold in the now-famous Star Wardrobe portion of the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer auction May 3, 1970. It was not listed in the orange catalog as it was offered on the last day, almost as a give-away. Comes with photographs of Elvis from the film wearing the jacket.
