William Henry Harrison Signed Letter 1814.

Signed letter dated May 16, 1814 from William Henry Harrison after his term as the first Governor of the Indiana Territory and before becoming a member of the US House of Representatives from Ohio. Harrison would become the 9th President of the United States (1841) and was the first President to pass away while in Office as he died after serving only 31 days in Office. Harrison was the son of Founding Father Benjamin Harrison V and grandfather of Benjamin Harrison, the 23rd President of the United States. In his letter, Harrison provides a reference on behalf of a Major John Bronson. William Henry Harrison was himself a war hero fighting in the War of 1912 and the Tecumseh’s War earning the nickname “Old Tippecanoe.”

Dimensions: The letter visibly measures approximately 7 X 9 and is displayed with a picture of Harrison in a 26 X 22 frame.
