Tom Cruise "Rock of Ages" Film Used Custom Leather Limited Production Jackson Kelly Guitar.

This is the custom made Jackson Soloist designed for Tom Cruise in the film “Rock of Ages”. With serial # 9849095, this custom made guitar based on a Jackson Soloist model is only one of two that were created, the other guitar was given to Tom Cruise. "Rock of Ages" was as 2012 jukebox musical comedy that featured 1980s Rock and Glam Metal music. The cast included Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta, Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Malin Akerman, Mary J. Blige, Alec Baldwin, Bryan Cranston and Will Forte. Shown here is a shot taken from a special photo shoot for Vanity Fair with Tom Cruise as his character Stacee Jaxx.

Fender was tasked with creating the 80’s influenced designs for the guitars to be used in the movie. Their Jackson division was obviously the best choice. The guitar offered here was retained for the Fender Custom show room after filming was completed. The film guitar is uniquely visual with an exquisite “Phoenix” inlayed in the neck. That inlay design was never created again.
