The Beatles John Lennon 1961 Hamburg Handwritten Poem (REAL).

A page taken from a notebook on which John Lennon has handwritten a poem in black ink. The work a completed in Astrid Kirchherr’s apartment in Hamburg, Germany during The Beatles staying in the city in 1961.

The poem reads: one time upon a tom / a little negro who had / lost his mother was / looking for a job. / Maybe i will be a / shoe shine boy - says / the negro who was / black and dirty. / But no - unluckily / as luck would have it / he could not a job / find. / "No job for a n***er. The page measures 21.7cm x 16.7cm (6.5 inches x 8.6 inches). The condition is very good plus. Provenance: Given to the previous owner by Astrid Kirchherr.
