The Beatles Hand Painted “Beatles Drop T” Drumhead - Made for Ringo Starr Circa 1969.

Offered here is an incredible and iconic “Beatles Drop T” Logo drumhead which was ordered and made for Ringo Starr by Abbey Road Studios in 1969.

There are eight known used “Drop T” logo drumheads, with only two being known to exist in private collections. This is a separate drumhead, made for Ringo Starr but most likely never used by him.

Provenance: From the collection of Robert MacFarlan. MacFarlan worked for EMI Records in the promotional and artist division. He ordered this drumhead for Ringo in 1969 directly from Ivor Arbiter’s “Drum City” store in London. The drumhead comes with the original receipt from Drum City.

The drumhead is hand painted and features the “Ludwig Remo Weather King” logo on the drum, which dates circa 1969.

The drum is in fair condition, showing age and wear.

The last known sale of a Beatles drumhead was in 2015 when the Sullivan skin sold for over $2,000,000. This could be your only opportunity to purchase an authentic issued skin for The Beatles during the period.

Authentication: Real Game Used (RGU) Letter of Authenticity, a Letter of Provenance and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
