The world's first "Supergroup" - the incredible Traveling Wilburys, have beautifully signed this publishing contract. Signed by rock and roll icons George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty (twice), Jeff Lynne, and Mrs. Roy Orbison (on behalf of Roy Orbison). Signed in blue and in black fiber tip pen. The 14-page contract (with an additional Exhibit 1 page), dated January 1, 1989, is between Ganga Publishing BV and Bob Dylan (ASCAP), George Harrison (PRS), Jeff Lynne (ASCAP), Estate of Roy Orbison, deceased (BMI) and Tom Petty (ASCAP). The signatures are found on the last page, and since Orbison had passed away at that time, his wife Barbara Orbison. This was rock and roll's fantasy line-up - each and every member a rock hero in his own right, and although the band was short-lived (1988-1991) they produced two critically acclaimed and successful albums, the first one winning the Grammy for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group and seven singles. Each page of this contract measures approximately 8.25 x 11.5 and there is a 4 x 6 color photograph of the five rock icons attached to the signed page. Signed in blue and in black fiber-tipped marker, accompanied by a Roy Orbison 3.5 x 4.5 signature cut, in black steel-tip fountain pen to round out the signatures. Accompanied by a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity for the signatures on the contract, a JSA Letter of Authenticity for the Roy Orbison signed cut, and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
