Legendary American entertainer Sammy Davis, Jr. owned this 1964 donkey pin for Lyndon B. Johnson, who was President at the time. As a performer, there was nothing that Davis could not do. He was lauded as a singer, dancer, actor, and comedian, earning the nickname “Mr. Show Business” during his career that spanned from 1928 until his death in 1990. Davis broke down barriers in the highly segregated music and film industries, appearing in Frank Sinatra’s Rat Pack film “Ocean’s 11” in 1960. Davis heavily supported John F. Kennedy, which of course Lyndon Johnson was the Vice-President for. As President after JFK’s death, Johnson made civil rights one of his top priorities. Very Good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
