The Salvation Army is a theological based charitable organization present in more than 130 countries having its origins in London in 1865 begun by Methodist preacher William Booth who introduced its military structure still in place today. The Salvation Army is the largest non-government provider of social services in the United States and one of the largest in the world.

Offered here is an historic photographic archive related to the Salvation Army. While many individuals are pictured throughout, many picture Evangeline Booth (the 4th General of the Salvation Army and first woman to hold the post) and others at the event of her funeral. More than sixty-five pictures are offered in this archive (including both original and reproduced photographs) while most appear vintage. Sizes vary but most are 5 X 7 or larger. The highlight of the collection are those picturing Booth speaking from an open air platform and one 4 X 8.5 original cabinet photograph of a young Evangeline Booth. An interesting collection chronicling some of the history of the Salvation Army.

Authentication: Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
