Rolling Stones Brian Jones’ Used Guitar String from their March 5th, 1965, concert at The Regal Theatre, Edmonton, London.

The guitar string is a used guitar string from Rolling Stones founder, original leader, and guitarist Brian Jones. The string was used at the Rolling Stones’ UK tour kickoff concert that took place at The Regal Theatre in Edmonton, London on March 5th, 1965. The tour was a 14-date package tour with other groups The Hollies, The Konrads and Dave Berry and the Cruisers. The Rolling Stones toured 14 locations and played 28 shows within Britain throughout the month of March with a lineup of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts, and Brian Jones. Parts of the tour were recorded for ‘Got Live If You Want It!’, the third official EP by The Rolling Stones.

Brian Jones was the Rolling Stones founder, guitarist, and original leader. He founded the music group in 1962 but was dismissed in June of 1969. Brian Jones died a month later at his home and was eventually honored with an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989. Brian Jones is remembered for his unique instrumental talent and contributions to the Rolling Stones’ overwhelming success.
