On the afternoon of August 24, 1964, the Beatles attended a charity garden party hosted by Alan Livingston, the president of Capitol Records, in Brentwood. The party was a fundraiser for the Hemophilia Foundation of Southern California. Hollywood celebrities were charged $25 each to attend with their children. All in all, the event raised $10,000.
