American Actor Ray Bolger signed and inscribed this photograph of himself in midair using a black felt-tip pen. The inscription reads, “To ‘Mike’/ Gracious love with Amy/ Where’s Charley? 1948-51”. “Where’s Charley?” was the name of a Broadway show he starred in from 1948 to 1951. Bolger had a prolific career that spanned seven decades, although his biggest roles came as the Scarecrow in 1939’s “Wizard of Oz” and Barnaby in Walt Disney’s “Babes in Toyland”.
