A very rare signed copy of John Lennon's 1964 "In His Own Write" that has been signed by John, Brian Epstein, Cynthia Lennon, Helen Shapiro and Wilfrid Brambell on the inside cover and first page. John Lennon, Brian Epstein and Wilfrid Brambell have signed in blue ballpoint pen, while Helen Shapiro has signed in blue felt tip pen and Cynthia Lennon in red ballpoint pen. The book was signed at a special literary luncheon on April 23, 1964 held by Foyle's bookshop at the Dorchester Hotel, Isleworth during the filming of "A Hard Day's Night." Lennon had to leave during filming to attend this party, which is why he is missing during the very end of the "Can't Buy Me Love" sequence. It is very rare to have all these signatures together in one place, John, his wife Cynthia, the Beatles manager Brian Epstein as well as Helen Shapiro, who the Beatles opened for on their first concert tour, and Wilfrid Brambell who played Paul's father in "A Hard Day's Night." Signatures are bold and in beautiful condition.
