Princess Diana wore this show-stopping Catherine Walker designed red lace cocktail dress when she attended a charity dinner on an official visit to Buenos Aires in 1995. This dress was part of the famous “Dresses from the Collection of Diana, Princess of Wales” charity auction conducted by Christies in New York City on June 25, 1997. The dress, designated as Lot 35 in the sale, is in beautiful condition and comes with the original box from the Christies sale as well as the Christies tag. Diana was featured twice in People Magazine wearing the dress, once on May 19, 1997 cover and the again in a article layout in the September 7, 1998 edition (both magazines accompany the lot). This is more than a dress, as it was worn by the most iconic princess ever, beloved by the entire world.
