“Lovesexy” is the tenth studio album by American recording artist Prince. The album was released on May 10, 1988 by Paisley Park Records and Warner Bros. Records. The album was recorded in just seven weeks, from mid-December 1987 to late January 1988, at Prince's new Paisley Park Studios, and most of the album is a solo effort from Prince, with a few exceptions. The lyrical themes of the record include positivity, self-improvement, spirituality, and God.
In the fall of 1988, Prince and The Revolution embarked on a world tour to promote the album. During the early part of the tour, the band agreed to a couple record in-store appearances to promote the album, including one in Switzerland and one in New York City. Offered here is an album from one of those signings.
Headlining the album is a bold felt tip marker signature from Prince that reads, "Love God, -P '88." Along with Prince, the album is signed by members of The Revolution, including Mike Weaver, Levi Seacer Jr., Boni Boyer, Sheila E, Eric Leeds, Atlanta Bliss, Cat Glover and Doctor Fink.
