Prince Signed & Inscribed "For You" 1978 Debut Studio Album.
Prince has signed the cover of his 1978 debut studio album "For You" in a black ballpoint pen, "To Nancy I Love You! Prince” is given full credit on the album, "Produced, Arranged, Composed and Performed by Prince." on the verso. One song "Soft and Wet'' he composed the music and wrote the lyrics with C. Moon (music producer, recording engineer and songwriter credited with discovering Prince).
Prince was beloved by fans and music critics alike, who were devastated by his tragic, untimely death in 2016. He was a singer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, record producer, and actor. The recipient of numerous awards and nominations, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest musicians of his generation. Prince was known for his flamboyant, androgynous persona; his wide vocal range, which included a far-reaching falsetto and high-pitched screams; and his skill as a multi-instrumentalist, often preferring to play all or most of the instruments on his recordings (he played all the instruments on this debut studio album). His music incorporated a wide variety of styles, including funk, R&B, rock, new wave, soul, synth-pop, pop, jazz, blues, and hip hop. Prince produced his albums himself, pioneering the Minneapolis sound.
