Prince Rainier & Princess Grace Signed 1956 Philatelic Exhibition in Their Honor.
Prince Ranier (III) of Monaco and Princess Grace have signed the front of this rare invitation to attend an October 27, 1956 luncheon held in their honor and preview of the Monaco International Philatelic Exhibition at the National Philatelic Museum, Philadelphia, on behalf of Temple University and Trustees of National Philatelic Museum. Rainier and former American film star Grace Kelly were married earlier in the year (April 1956). Rainier was long fond of stamps and coins, having established a postal museum in Monaco in 1950 and throughout his reign surveying all the process of the creation of Monaco stamps.
