Prince Owned & Extensively Stage Used Iconic Golden Gun Microphone - Used During “Diamonds & Pearls” Tour in 1992 Through 2004 Musicology Tour.

Offered here is one of the most memorable Prince items we have ever offered in public auction. The original Golden Gun Microphone that was used by Prince on stage during the 1992 “Diamonds & Pearl”s tour and used all the way until the 2004 Musicology Tour.

A wireless microphone mounted on a revolver grip.

Provenance: From a former friend of Prince. He received the microphone directly from Prince after the gold flakes were coming off this microphone.

Only three Golden Gun Microphones were created, this one, another that is owned by the Prince estate, and a third one which is unknown.

To quote Prince as to why he used it, “My words of peace go into the gun and nullify its power". It was a metaphor to highlight the power of peace in words & music rather than violence in words & music. It also gave Prince his “gangster” look during the tour.

Good, stage used condition. The microphone has been retired and currently does not work. The microphone was retired in 2004.

Authentication: Letter of Provenance and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
