An interesting archive of autograph and other material related to President John F. Kennedy including numerous FDC envelopes posted for the First Day of Issue of the John F. Kennedy memorial stamp. More than 50 items are included. Among the items is a card of an art image of Jacqueline Kennedy noted in the collection to have been signed by her in 1976. Several FDC covers are signed by clergy including JFK’s funeral celebrants Cardinal Cushing and archbishop Philip Hannan. Other signatures represented in the collection include Ted Kennedy, David Powers (Special Assistant), Major General C.V. Clifton (Military Aide), Steve E Smith (master builder of JFK Presidential Library), Larry O’Brien (Special Assistant), Pierre Salinger (JFK Press Secretary) and Father Oscar L. Huber (administered Last Rites). Among the other items included is a Cardinal Cushing Christmas card honoring JFK and Pope John XXIII, two condolence letters signed by Julius La Rosa, several signed items of cabinet member Robert McNamara, several JFK memorial cards and an original JFK campaign photograph in poor condition.
