Paul McCartney & Wings Signed "Linda's Pix for Seventy Six" Datebook With Paul McCartney Incredible “Rocky Mountain High” Inscription.
Linda McCartney created a hard photo datebook featuring photos of the band members - on stage, at home, in the studio, published in 1975 by McCartney Productions Limited (MPL). The band had been on the Wings Over America Tour in 1975, so many, if not all, of the photos are likely taken while they were on tour. The band would continue touring in 1976 in the Wings Over the World Tour. The title page has been signed in blue ballpoint pen by band members, and tour band members Paul McCartney, Denny Laine, Linda McCartney, Jimmy McCulloch, Steve Howard and Tony Dorsey. There are additional touring band name signatures also. The band have all inscribed their signatures to Rocky, thanking him for his work on the tour, with Paul McCartney writing, “Oh Rocky Mountain High!”.
Paul McCartney and Wings, often billed simply as Wings, were an English-American rock band formed in 1971 in London by former Beatles guitarist and singer Paul McCartney, his wife Linda McCartney on keyboards, session drummer Denny Seiwell, and former Moody Blues guitarist Denny Laine. Wings were noted for their commercial successes, musical eclecticism and frequent personnel changes; going through three lead guitarists and four drummers. However, the core trio of the McCartneys and Laine remained intact throughout the group's existence.
