A rare original vintage sixties contact sheet containing 12 frames of images of Paul McCartney during the ‘Butcher Cover’ photo session that were taken by Robert Whittaker on 25th March 1966.
The session took place at a top floor studio at 1 The Vale, Chelsea, London, the space itself was rented by another photographer named Oluf Nissen. Whitaker has cut McCartney’s face from two of the frames, perhaps to use in a collage.
Dimensions: The photograph measures 25.5cm x 20.25cm (10 inches x 8 inches).
Condition: The condition is very good.
