Two iconic performers, actor River Phoenix and Red Hot Chili Peppers guitaqrist Flea are captured here at the notorious Viper Club in West Hollywood. This is actually two photos printed on one semi-glossy white sheet measuring 8.5 x 11.
In the 1990's, the nightclub Viper Room became known as a hangout spot for the young Hollywood elite, and gained infamy for its drug-related incidents; actor River Phoenix had a fatal drug overdose in 1993, actor Jason Donovan suffered a drug-induced seizure in 1995 but survived, and singer Courtney Love survived an overdose in 1995 after Depp gave her CPR.1997, singer Michael Hutchence played his last public performance in the Viper Room before taking his own life a week later. This photograph captures a moment where hollywood and rock elite meet and, pink background notwithstanding, gives off a feeling of danger and recklousness - the sign of the times.
