Nirvana Pat Smear Owned, Stage Played Guitar - Hand Painted & Played by Kurt Cobain - Smashed by Friend on Stage 11/15/1993 with Photographs!
Offered here is an incredible piece of Nirvana History, one of Pat Smear's original black Fender guitar's, which was played on stage by Pat Smear as well as hand painted by Kurt Cobain with the names of the groups he toured with.
This guitar was given to Pat Smear, and was used for various performances as well as the 11/15/1993 Concert in New York. On 11/15/1993, during Nirvana’s show in New York, Pat Smear was playing this guitar, and handed it to our consignor, Simon. Smear coaxed Simon into smashing the guitar on stage, to which he did. This is actually photographed and documented.
Per our consignor, Kurt did play this guitar and paint on it as well. This guitar has unbelievable provenance and would be an excellent addition to any Nirvana collectors.
Provenance: Smashed on stage and collected by our consignor.
The guitar strap is original to the one Kurt Cobain and Pat Smear used.
Authentication: Real Game Used (RGU) Letter of Authenticity, a Letter of Provenance from Simon and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
