Muhammad Ali Signed Olympic Anniversary Cachet Envelope

Muhammad Ali has signed this 9 x 4.5 envelope sent from Rome, Italy, celebrating the Olympic Anniversary of his 1960 United States gold medal as Cassius Clay. Clay, who would later change his name to Muhammad Ali and hold the world heavyweight title three times, won the Olympic light heavyweight crown, pummeling Polish opponent Zbigniew Pietryskowsky in the final. Ali was so proud of his gold medal that he did not take it off for two days. The envelope has a screened cloth image of Muhammad Ali taunting Sonny Liston upon his seventh round knockout in their first fight to win his first Heavyweight World Title in 1964.
