Michael Jordan Original Archive of Handwritten & Signed High School Love Letters (JSA).
An archive of seven Michael Jordan handwritten and signed love letters to his high school girlfriend Laquetta Robinson. Each letter has been signed by Jordan, sometimes more than once, making for a total of 11 Michael Jordan signatures. Each letter is accompanied by a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity, and the May 20, 1981 two-page letter has also been authenticated by PSA/DNA , with the first page graded MINT 9 and the second page graded NM-MT 8. Michael has handwritten and signed the letters in blue ballpoint pen, all except for one, the June 6, 1981 two-page letter which was signed and handwritten by Michael in black ballpoint pen.
There are several highlights from this collection, the standout letter being the one encapsulated and graded by PSA. Michael Jordan writes, "Laquetta, you are my whole life next to Basketball, please don't get mad about that statement. You ARE my whole life but you can't leave basketball. It's hard for me to do this because one day - I hope to make a living of this and I want you to be by my side". The letter is dated May, 20, 1981.
What makes this letter so special is Jordan was predicting his greatness even before the fame. With this letter being dated 1981, Jordan had no idea what would come for his future.
A few other letters match importance, one discussing the McDonald's all star game which Jordan played on April 11, 1981.
This collection rivals no other and is the best collection of Michael Jordan letters ever to come for sale.
