Offered here is an empty box of Quaalude 300 that was found in a wastebasket in Michael Jackson's dressing room, after a concert.
Provenance: From the collection of Irwin and Clarine Pate. Irwin Pate was a renowned booking agent and promotional agent for over four decades. He promoted talent all over the United States. During his career, Irwin and Clarine amassed a large and very impressive collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. According to the detailed letter from Clarine Pate that accompanies this lot, when travelling on concert tours Irwin would often obtain many of these articles from both tour crew members and venue staff. This empty box of Quaalude-300 was found by a venue employee in the wastebasket of Michael Jackson's dressing room, and he kept it as a conversation piece. A few years later the employee gave it to Irwin for his collection, and it has been in the Pate collection every since.
Dimensions: Approximately 3.25 x 1.25 x 4 in.
Condition: The box is in good condition, with wear around the ages due to age. The label with the physician's prescription has been torn off the back, leaving just the letters "OW, M.D." left. It was manufactured William H. Rorer, Inc., Pharmaceutical Chemists in Fort Washington, PA.
