A stunning original 19th Century cabinet photograph of young Mark Twain is beautifully framed with his handwritten and signed note dated August 1908, “To Miss Anna Frank,” in black fountain pen. Twain writes, “with best wishes, Truly Yours, Mark Twain.” Twain who was born Samuel Clemens adopted Twain as his pen name, from a term associated with the measurement of water depth on riverboats like those he spent so much time traveling, piloting and writing about along the Mississippi. His classics like, “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” and “Huckleberry Finn” are required reading more than 100 years following his death. Framed. Very good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
