Marilyn Monroe Owned & Worn Faux Diamond Belt

Presented here is Marilyn Monroe's owned and worn glittering faux diamond belt comprised of white rhinestones. The belt comes from the collection of Jay Bater, an antiques dealer and appraiser for the past 20 years, a graduate of CAGA and worked across the U.S. in multiple capacities including estate liquidation e.

The belt originally came from the collection of a man who worked at several Hollywood movie studios, including 20th Century Fox, starting in the 1940s. He worked as both an on set assistant as well as an assistant in the prop and wardrobe departments. According to his daughter, he posed for photographs with some of the biggest Hollywood stars that he worked with on many films including Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable, and many more. He was always looking for souvenirs on the movie lots and over time he accrued a large collection of items that had been left behind, including props, photographs, movie posters and items personally owned and used by the stars. Jay Baxter thoroughly examined this collection, including the detailed notes the owner had made, and was able to verify the belt's authenticity. The belt was left behind by Marilyn Monroe after filming a promotional short. He saved it and brought it home to become part of his collection. Dimensions: Belt width .5 in, the rectangular buckle measures 1 in x 1.5 in. Length of belt is 31.5 in (not including buckle).

Condition: Very good.

Authentication: A letter of authenticity from Jay Bater and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
