Mariano Rivera is considered to be the greatest closer to ever pitch in Major League history with a record regular season, 652 saves. His postseason numbers are tops with 42 saves and an earned run average of 0.70 in 141 innings. Rivera was a New York Yankee for 19 seasons (1995-2013) and from 1996–2000 won 4 World Series Championships. His nickname was “Sandman” and when he entered to close the game it was usually “lights out” for the opponents, as his “cutter” was unhittable.
This black leather Nike “PRO GOLD MO 42” glove is worn by the best relief pitcher in baseball, Mariano Rivera of the New York Yankees. Rivera's full name is embroidered in white script on the outside of the thumb, beneath which his custom “PHIL 4:13” a reference to Bible verse Phillippians 4:13 is embroidered.
