Madonna wore this 1940’s floor-length red sleeveless dress as her character Eva Peron in her 1996 film “Evita”. This long crepe dress with hidden zipper back has a sweetheart neckline trimmed at the top of the bodice with five rows of rhinestone studs and the skirt is pleated into a pointed waist with split front hem. It was worn with a 1940’s period white mink shoulder cape in the film. Madonna wore this outfit during the musical number “Peron’s Latest Flame” where Eva accompanies Peron to an upscale restaurant to the dismay of the upper class. Very good, screen worn condition. The dress is accompanied by photos from the film showing Madonna wearing the dress and a letter of authenticity from Palace Costumes signed by Melody Barnett.
