Madonna wore this extraordinary formal gown in her 1996 film "Evita" in her portrayal of Eva Peron. The garment’s bodice is adorned with white pearls and red jewels and the skirt is white satin. Madonna wore the gown onscreen during the musical number “High Flying, Adored” where her character Eva attends Peron’s Inaugural Ball. Madonna was also featured in the October 1996 issue of Vogue in this dress. The dress was originally made for the actress Carol Lawrence and then worn by actress Daryl Hannah while accompanying John F. Kennedy, Jr. to meet the Queen of England. Very good, film worn condition. Accompanied by photos from the film showing Madonna wearing the gown and a letter of authenticity from Palace Costumes signed by Melody Barnett.
