Her full name is Madonna Louise Ciccone. She was born in 1958 in Bay City, Michigan, and moved to New York City in 1977 to pursue a career in dance. As it turns out, she found so much more. “Madonna” is many things: singer-songwriter, dancer, actress, author, director, businesswoman, record producer, and film director. She burst upon the scene in 1983 with the release of her first album, Madonna. Her next album, Like a Virgin (1984), sold more than 10 million copies worldwide. Her album True Blue has sold 25 million copies. During the course of her career, she has sold more than 400 million records worldwide and is the top-selling female artist of all time.
Offered here is a handwritten to-do list by Madonna covering a range of topics and activities. Written mostly in blue ink on a page that appears to be ripped out of a stenographer’s notepad, the topics include a host of names and some phone numbers along with a few chores including “deposit pay checks,” “call Leonard about being manager?” and “Gabriel - can not rehearse on Friday.”
