Am important and significant archive of more than 80 vintage items consisting mostly of letters and correspondence from entertainers and business moguls to iconic composers and songwriters Leo Edwards and Gus Edwards. Also included are several signed agreements/contracts, signed photographs and several pieces of ephemera. Some signatures appear more than once. Among the signatures are composers Deems Taylor, Ferde Grofe, Leo Edwards, Irving Caesar, Harry Von Tilzer; bandleader Lawrence Welk; comedic actors – vaudevillians,- actors – singers – songwriters – operatic performers – newspaper columnist- Eddie Cantor, Joe Smith, Mary Gordon, Jane Froman, John Charles Thomas, Jan Peerce, Helen Traubel, John Frederick Coots, Gracie Field, George Jessel, Joe Weber, Walter Winchell and entertainment business moguls Jacob J Schubert, H.M. Warner and Jesse Lasky. Among the many artifacts are three original cards from the Library of Congress providing Copyright to songs submitted by Gus Edwards. Among the few signed photographs is a Sophie Tucker signed photograph dated 1938 personalized to Leo Edwards; a signed photograph of Gus Edwards, and a signed photograph of composer Victor Herbert. Condition varies but most items are in very good condition. Truly a most significant and historic archive. . Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
