Little Willie John Original Cardboard Concert Poster Circa 1960

A rare, vintage original Little Willie John cardboard concert poster, circa 1960. For his show at Earl Warren Park, California on September 4. Little Willie was Detroit’s first solo R&B star, billed as "the prince of the blues," Little Willie was also one of the artists who helped usher in the Rock and Roll movement in American music. While still a teenager, Willie charted 5 songs on Billboard’s R&B chart including the # 1 hit “Fever”. His signature tune also crossed over to Billboard’s Hot 100, the first of 14 recordings that he would place on the chart from 1956 to 1961. The poster also features La La Wilson and the Upsetter Band. Measures 14 x 22. Very good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
