James Brown Owned & Worn Red and Brown Tie

James Brown owned and worn red and brown tie with silver thread. From the collection of the late Irwin Pate who passed away in May 2018. Irwin was a renowned booking agent and promotional manager for over four decades. He promoted talent all over the United States and Internationally and during his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. Irwin worked as James Brown's exclusive booking and promotional manager in the 1960s and 1970s. They not only worked together but were also very close friends until James Brown passed away in 2006. During their long business association and friendship Irwin acquired several of James Brown's personal clothing articles and belongings, including this tie. This tie has been in the Pate collection ever since Irwin first obtained it. Very good vintage condition. Comes with a letter of authenticity from Irwin Pate's widow, Clarine Pate, on James Brown Productions letterhead and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
