James Brown Owned & Worn "JB" Engraved Ring

James Brown owned and worn "JB" engraved gold-tone brass ring. From the collection of the late Irwin Pate who passed away in May 2018. Irwin was a renowned booking agent and promotional manager for over four decades. He promoted talent all over the United States and Internationally and during his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. Irwin worked as James Brown's booking and promotional manager in the 1960s. They continued to work together on occasion in the following years and were also very close friends until James Brown passed away in 2006. Over the course of their business association and personal friendship, Irwin acquired several of James Brown's personal clothing articles and belongings, including this gold-tone brass engraved ring. It has been in the Pate collection ever since. Very good vintage condition. Comes with a letter of authenticity from Irwin Pate's widow, Clarine Pate on the Pate company letterhead and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
