U2 Autographed October Album Liverpool 1983

A UK vinyl pressing of U2’s 1981 album ‘October’ that has been autographed on the front cover by the group. Bono, Edge and Larry have signed in blue ballpoint pen, Adam has signed in red ballpoint pen. U2 has added the inscription John I’m only…. Under his name, he has also added another illegible word under that. The autographs were obtained at the Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool England on 25th March 1983 during U2’s ‘War’ tour. The autographs come with a letter from the original recipient that reads ‘U2 October Vinyl Long Play Record signed by the band (Bono, Edge, Adam & Larry). I got the album signed by the band backstage at The Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool, England on 25th March 1983 during U2 War Tour. I was lucky enough to get backstage after the concert with a friend who worked at Red Rose Rock FM. Bono added the “John I’m only……” to his signature on me introducing myself. I can only assume it is a reference to the David Bowie song John I’m Only Dancing’. The condition is very good. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
