A poster from when Elton John was no longer a critical darling, but a flamboyant superstar. Held at Civic Arena in downtown Pittsburgh (where the Penguins played hockey for decades), Sir Reginald Dwight had released Caribou earlier in the year and toured behind it. The album's two singles, "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me" and "The Bitch is Back," were two more entries into John's arsenal of beloved tunes. While John is clearly the star attraction here, this poster also mentions his longtime bandmates, including drummer Nigel Olsson and guitarist Davey Johnstone. Note at the bottom of this poster is the support act, the Kiki Dee Band. Dee would have a major hit single with John on their duet, "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" in 1976. Measures 12 3/8" x 21". Comes with a Gottahaverockandroll Certificate of Authenticity.
