Queen front man Freddie Mercury's owned and worn green velour bathrobe size medium. From the personal collection of renowned booking agent and promotional manager Irwin Pate. For over four decades Irwin Pate promoted talent all over the United States and internationally. During his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers, including Freddie Mercury. Irwin knew Freddie and worked with him on a few occasions and promoted a few Queen concerts. During a meeting in Montreal Freddie gave Irwin some items from his collection that he no longer used, including this green bathrobe. When traveling on concert tours Irwin often would obtain items worn by the artists from tour crew members and venue staff. Freddie is known for wearing bathrobes which makes this piece more desirable. Overall good condition. Irwin Pate passed away in May of 2018, and the bathrobe comes with a letter of provenance from his wife Clarine Pate. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
