The pair of timpani drumsticks were used by Ringo Starr during the Beatles 1964 “Blackpool Night Out” TV Special. The ABC TV produced “Blackpool Night Out” special on the 19th July 1964 featuring The Beatles was the first ever performance of “Hard Day's Night” to be aired on TV. A truly “holy grail” piece of memorabilia. The sticks come from an employee of the special who was responsible for the prop’s backstage at the theater, and worked on 2 other occasions when The Beatles played in Liverpool. When the special was over, the employee collected these drumsticks from the floor after the performance. The employee also got a script signed by The Beatles from the event, but that is not included in this lot. An incredible piece of Beatles history. Comes with a letter of provenance and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
