Larry Legend won the 1987 NBA 3-Point Shootout (Jordan won the dunk contest that year). For 13 seasons with the Boston Celtics, HOFer Larry Bird personified hustle, excellence, pure intuition and clutch play - 12x NBA All-Star, 2x NBA Finals MVP and 3x 3x (consecutively) NBA MVP, NBA Top 50 player.

On the front tail is the Sand-Knit manufacturer's label, size “44”. Across the front is "NBA ALL STAR" in white on blue screen print. On the front and on the back is the player number "33" in white screen print. Across the back is the player name “BIRD”, also in white screen print. Stars adorn each side, from armpit to tail. Embroidered on the left breast is the NBA logo. Larry signed and inscribed the front number “Larry Bird #33” in black marker, in our opinion rating a strong 7.

This jersey was worn during the weekend, possibly during All-Star Game warmups or promotional activities. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as worn during All-Star weekend and in our opinion shows appropriate wear.

Authentication: a Joe Piscopo Letter of Provenance and a photo of Bird signing the jersey. Joe Piscopo was an SNL actor who had access to athletes and entertainers. It states in the LOP, in part, ”Happy B’Day BIG Man! This is Larry Bird’s jersey from the ‘87 All-Star Game”. Also with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
