Print/Flyer for a store which hired Haring to create this campaign and iconic brand logo
Dimensions: 10 x 8 Inches (25.4 x 20.32 cm)
Details: During the prime of his career, Haring had made a smooth transition from subway street art to gallery art. While he spread his art commercially, Haring often partnered with brands to create artwork. The Time Shift Video image is one of Haring's most famous branded artwork - making the TV dancing man an iconic image that follows the semiotic nature of Haring's work.
The store provided video rentals, sales and production. Located on Broadway in New York City, the store was in a commercial and popular area where many artists of the 80s spent their time.
This Flyer was procured by Pamela French directly from Haring. French, a producer and Director, was part of the art scene and close friends with Haring during the 70s and 80s. Frequently visiting the artist at his flat - she would take polaroids of Haring as he went about his daily life, drawing or simply living.
