Paul Stanley, the front man for the rock band KISS, known for his black and-white star makeup around one eye, returned as the Toronto masked man in The Phantom of the Opera in September 28th-October 31st 1999. Paul Stanley used the book for rehearsal as well as wrote in ballpoint ink on the book on some of the pages which he drew as stage directions: enter left or right of the stage. He initialed page 1 (P.S.). An awesome piece of KISS and Broadway history. The book was sourced from a cast member from the play. Very good condition. The lot also comes with Pantages Theatre Playbill (features Paul Stanley as Phantom), Sales Brochure (bi-fold) mentions three of the Phantoms including Stanley, rare Paul Stanley as Phantom of the Opera double sided promotional poster, and Toronto Phantom of the Opera souvenir program book. Comes with a copy of a letter of provenance and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
