An original concert poster for the Toronto Rock and Roll Revival concert held on the 13th September 1969.
Although not listed on the poster John Lennon was a last-minute addition to the line-up. John and Yoko Ono appeared with Eric Clapton on guitar and Klaus Voorman on bass. Their performance was recorded and later featured on the Plastic Ono Band ‘Live Peace In Toronto’ album which was released on Apple Records three months after the event.
The Doors were considered the headliners, other acts appearing included Chicago Transit Authority, Alice Cooper, Junior Walker and the All-Stars, Tony Joe White and Cat Mother and the All-Night Newsboys. Plus Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Bo Diddley and Gene Vincent. It was the participation of the latter five that played a big factor in John spontaneously agreeing to perform.
Dimensions: The poster measures 46.8cm x 62.8cm (18.5 inches x 24.6 inches).
Condition: The poster has previously been professionally restored, pin holes to each corner have been repaired. There are horizontal crease lines across the poster. Otherwise very good.
