These are John Lennon's personally owned and worn eyeglasses that he used when he lived in Tittenhurst Park in Ascot, Berkshire, U.K. In the late 1960's when Lennon was living at Tittenhurst with Yoko, they were neighbors with William Connors, who was lucky to meet the couple several times. Connors was a huge fan of Lennon's and the Beatles. Lennon personally gave these eyeglasses to William in 1970 after William had told him that he had seen a picture of Lennon wearing them. Lennon's response was to simply give them to William, who was thrilled. William didn't have any children of his own and he ended up giving the glasses to his brother Peter, who was also a huge Beatles fan. Peter passed away in 2017 after many years of illness, and the eyeglasses came into the possession of his son Sam. These historic eyeglasses were in the Connors family for almost 50 years and he felt it was time to let them go. Very good, vintage condition. These John Lennon eyeglasses are accompanied by a detailed letter of provenance from Sam Connors and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
